Xi'an seeks cooperation opportunities at CIIE

Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, has organized for its companies to actively participate in the fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is ongoing in East China's Shanghai.

At this year's CIIE, 45 companies in Xi'an are displaying more than 300 exhibits in four categories – including time-honored brands, intangible cultural heritage and cultural and creative products – allowing Chinese and foreign business people to experience the charms of Xi'an in an all-round way.

On the first day of the CIIE, the secretariat of the Xi'an trading sub-delegation organized a series of matchmaking and exchange activities.

The secretariat visited the exhibition areas for technical equipment, innovation and incubation of agricultural products, consumer goods and the service trade. It communicated with Samsung, Hitachi Group, Ernst & Young, the Amazon global store team and Singapore service trade exhibitors.

In addition, the Xi'an municipal bureau of commerce visited a number of companies during its stay in Shanghai. It carried out exchanges on strengthening cooperation on data-based upgrade service platforms for export-oriented companies, the digitalization of international trade and for the upgrading of personnel training systems.

As an important exhibition platform for opening-up, the CIIE has an increasing international influence. The participation of Xi'an is expected to better promote the city's industrial transformation and upgrading, expand foreign trade channels, promote consumption upgrades and showcase Xi'an's image.
